Maureen A. Helmick-Borodin, age 56, of Geneva, formerly of West Chicago, originally from South Holland, fought courageously through the pain for weeks and after being surrounded by family members for days, passed away peacefully the afternoon of October 28, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her adoring parents Roland and Mary Jane Helmick, and her brother Philip.
Maureen is survived by her loving sister Linda and brothers David (Cheryl Cullinan), and Kevin; cherished mother of Nicholas and Hannah Borodin; and proud aunt of Isabella and Philip Helmick.
A 1984 graduate of Thornwood High School, Maureen received her bachelor’s degree in marketing from DePaul University in Chicago. Maureen worked for years in data communication sales and most recently was a senior account manager at AVDG Guitar Center. Maureen loved to spoil her family, her friends, and most of all her amazing dog, Brahm.
