Mr. Matthew “Matt” Wiggins, age 36, of Lanett, Alabama passed away on Monday, February 1st, 2021 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama. He was born on February 18th, 1984 in Valley, Alabama.
Matt is survived by his daughter, Brooke McWhirter; mother, Angie Wiggins; brother, Brad (Betty) Johnson; sister, Karen (Craig) Hale; nieces, Haley Johnson and Alicia Wiggins; nephew, Andrew Johnson; great niece, Madelyn Smith; great nephew, Hayden Monroe; aunt, Donna (Kevin) Clark.
He was preceded in death by his father, Danny Wiggins; grandparents, Merle and Janice Hodges and Robert and Patsy Wiggins; aunt, Lana Wiggins; uncle, Robbie Wiggins; nephew, Noah Johnson.
Matt was of the Baptist faith. He was a happy-go-lucky person with an awesome sense of humor and a heart of gold. He had a very outgoing personality, enjoyed going fishing, and was a very big Alabama fan. He loved his daughter.
