Matthew John Kealey Jr., age 26, of Ansonia, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. Matthew was born in Derby at Griffin Hospital on April 17, 1995 to Debbie Nelson of Bridgeport and Matthew J. Kealey Sr., of Ansonia. Matthew was a graduate of Stratford High School. He was a hard worker and worked as a sous-chef at Eli’s Tavern on Daniel Street in Milford and worked at Inline Plastics on Canal Street in Shelton.
Matthew was beautiful, loving, generous, loved to laugh and gave the best hugs. Matthews favorite band was Chevelle and he loved to sing. He was a big fan of Star Wars and was an amazing cook, loved his family and friends and was excited to be a father. Matthew was easy to talk to and everybody loved him. In addition to his parents, survivors include his girlfriend, Jennifer Fink, her son, Jacob and their unborn daughter, Zoey Jane of Derby, step father, Chris Brisee of Bridgeport, maternal grandmother, Jean Nelson and uncle Curt Palmer, Aunt and Uncle Lori and David Oldfield, Auntie Kelly Reyes, cousins, Joshua Nelson and his son, Hunter Mihok and Samantha Oldfield all of Naugatuck, many Kealey cousins and plenty more family and friends. Matthew is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Caren Broadhurst, Tom Kealey and Uncle, Thomas Benway, all of Milford.
