Matilda (Millie) K. Kramer (née Kamarauskus) died peacefully in Storrs, CT on October 20, 2016 at the age of 97. Matilda was born on November 30, 1918 in Tarrifville, CT. The family moved to Granby CT where her father had a vegetable and dairy farm. She graduated from Simsbury High School in 1935. Shortly after graduation she started working as an administrative assistant for the Kingswood School in Simsbury CT, then Powers Chevrolet in Granby CT and Connecticut General Insurance Company in Bloomfield CT. After moving to Storrs Ct in 1970, Millie was able to travel extensively through North America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. When she wasn’t traveling she was passionate about quilting, knitting and of course her bridge game. She enjoyed her life on the UCONN campus and attended many sporting and cultural events.
