Mathew John Inskeep, age 51, passed away on Sunday, March 27. Matt was born in San Diego California on July 29th, 1970. He attended school at San Diego State University where he received a degree in Business Management. He was an accomplished NCAA athlete who competed in the Decathlon at the San Diego State University. During his time at SDSU he won an NCAA Championship, and still holds many records today. Matt and Jennifer started their lives together 25 years ago in Huntington Beach. They later lived across the United States traveling for work for Black & Decker before settling down in South Florida to start a business of his own.

Matt was the light in a lot of people’s lives. He strived to make others happy above all else. He always had a smile on his face, arms that extended out for hugs to anyone in need, and compassion and love poured out of his constant eyes. He loved to joke around and make others laugh which would light up any room he walked into. One of his proudest accomplishments was becoming an eagle scout when he was young. He enjoyed traveling to new places and going on vacation to gain new experiences. He enjoyed teaching his kids: how to drive a boat and cars, gun safety, how to build a tent, how to be confident, how to play sports while maintaining sportsmanship, and many more skills. He loved tinkering in the garage trying to make new inventions, especially with his son. Eating and cooking were personal hobbies, he enjoyed making new recipes and had an obsession for Maui Ribs. Matt loved all holidays, especially Christmas he was known to find the biggest tree on the lot, and it made him happy to shower those he loved with gifts. His firework show was infamous, and nobody loved to put on a show more.  You could always find him listening to Classic 80s Rock, Flo-Rida, or country music while he was driving or working.

Matt is survived by his loving wife Jennifer, his daughters Bailey and Joey, and a son, Brooks; his parents Charles and Judy, his brother Brad and sister Kerry. Matt appreciated the loyalty of his family and true friends.
