Marylyn Jean (Williss) Fanders, 80, Plymouth, NE, died Monday, March 19, 2018. She was born June 11, 1937 in Beatrice, NE, to Claude and Celestine (Cripe) Williss. She was raised on a farm at Rockford, NE, and graduated from Holmesville High School in 1954. Marylyn married Eldon Fanders August 4, 1957 at the Hope Evangelical Church rural Harbine. They lived on the family farm until moving to Plymouth in 1959. Marylyn worked at the Steeple House in Beatrice, Marv’s Steak House in Plymouth and Petersen’s MFG. Co. in DeWitt, NE for 33 years.
Survivors include her children, Gary Fanders and wife Danette of Beatrice, Greg Fanders and wife Connie of Adams, NE, and Patty Fanders of Moberly, MO; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Jirovec and husband Richard of Crete, NE; brothers, Robert Williss of North Platte, NE, Russell Williss and wife Jean of Lincoln, NE; brother-in-law, R.H. Fanders and wife Phyllis of Council Bluffs, IA; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eldon (2010); daughter, Debora Hanke (2017); sister, Marjorie Kay Borgerding; brothers-in-law, John Borgerding, Harry Mayfield, and Warren Keese; sisters-in-law, Bernice Williss, Henrietta Keese and Rosalie Mayfield; great-grandchild, Alivia Patrick.
