MaryJo (Jo) Onnen passed away on July 3, 2017 in Parker, Colorado. Born on March 6, 1928 in Newcastle, Nebraska and grew up in Ponca, Nebraska, the daughter of Ella Wente and Charles Wente. She met her husband W. Richard (Dick) Onnen in Denver and they were married October 15, 1949 and had two children; Reid Onnen of Temcula, California, and Renee Shellhorse of Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Jo traveled the world, was an avid golfer, and a longtime member of Pinehurst County Club . MaryJo is survived by; son Reid (Myrna), daughter Renee (John), brother Harold (Betty) Wente of Emmetsburg, Iowa, sister Jeannie Norfolk of Manhattan Beach, California, sister Carole Hassenger of Phoenix, Arizona, brother Butch (Ann) Wente of Springfield, Missouri, sister-in-law Jean Onnen of David City, Nebraska, sister-in-law Lois Wente of Omaha, Nebraska and many nieces and nephews. MaryJo was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dick Onnen, brothers; Tony, Charles, Tom, Jack, and Bill, and sister Helen.
