Marye S. Lion, nee Sullivan, 83, from O’Fallon, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, August 31st, 2017 in O’Fallon, Illinois. Marye was born on November 11th, 1933 in Woodward, OK. She worked as a Clerk for Attorney’s Title Guarantee. Marye was a huge animal lover and above all else, she truly loved dogs. She enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. Marye also enjoyed sewing and could often be found making clothing for her family. When Marye was not sewing you could find her outside gardening and enjoying her flowers. Marye enjoyed traveling and one of the highlights of her life was traveling to and living in Japan and Saudi Arabia.
Marye was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” A. Lion; parents, Walter C, and Lonnie L. Sullivan; brother, John L. Sullivan; infant son, Jon D. Lion; and daughter, C. Denise Kunz. Marye was is survived by her children, Deborah (Bob) Lugge of O’Fallon, IL, William Steve Lion of O’Fallon, IL, Susan E, (Lynn) Overstreet of Marietta, GA, Christopher P, (Laura) Lion of Austin, TX; son-in-law, Steven D. Kunz of Summerfield, IL; grandchildren, William G. “Willy” (Angela) Kunz of Portland OR, Stacy E, (Chad) Steele of Millstadt, IL, Anthony W. “Tony” Krupp (Kate Reigelman) of Las Vegas, NV, Robert A. (Tiffany) Lugge of O’Fallon, IL, Cameron Overstreet of Marietta, GA, Abby Overstreet of Marietta, GA, Andrew “Drew” Lion of Austin, TX and Sarah Lion of Austin, TX. Great-grandchildren; Rebekah L. Kunz, Chase Marie Kunz, Jude W. Tomlinson, Gavin R. Steele, Eli M. Steele, James R. Lugge, and Tylor M. Truran.
