Rev. Mary Yvonne Rollins, 75, of Palatka, passed from this life on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka. A native of Bonifay, Florida, she returned to Putnam County in 2019 from Del Rio, Texas. Mary received her culinary arts degree and was a chef. Years ago, she catered an event in the St. Augustine area where President Ronald Reagan was in attendance.

She was also a Certified Nursing Assistant and traveled all over Texas as a nurse. Mary received her bachelor’s degree and was a teacher of Special Needs individuals. For the past 40 years, she had also been a Pentecostal preacher and served as a missionary to Del Rio, Texas, and to Mexico. She was likewise the pastor of the Pentecostal Missionary Outreach Center in Hollister.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Rev. Jim D. Rollins, and her parents, Pinky and Nina Paine.

Mary is survived by her children, Lois Ramey (Mike), Mark E. Rollins, Jim D. Rollins, Jr. (Monica), Harley H. Rollins, Sr. (Emily) and Mary E. Rollins Baker (Sheppard), a brother, Johnny Edwards Griffin, a sister, Rose Edwards, 31 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
