The family of Mary Wauhilla Wall Halla of Brownsboro AL are saddened to announce her passing on January 22, 2022, at the age of 92 years. Wauhilla was born in Madison County and graduated from Madison County High School. For many years she was an active member at Maysville Church of Christ.

Wauhilla retired from the downtown Huntsville location of the First National Bank to become a homemaker and mother. She was interim postmaster at the Brownsboro Post Office from 1966 – 1968 following the death of her father who was postmaster for many years. “Granny” had a wonderful sense of humor and laughed easily. She was dedicated to her family with a selfless, giving heart. She devoted much of her time as a caregiver to family members including her husband, mother and great aunt. She enjoyed keeping up with the community by spending hours listening to her police scanner.

She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her children: Earl Charles Halla Jr. (Teresa) and Amy Gravlee (Scott), grandchildren, Adam Willmon, Josh Willmon and Kelsey Halla, and 2 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Clara Wall, and by her loving husband, Earl Charles Halla Sr.
