Mary Viola Baldonado, age 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1965 passed away, Sunday, August 21, 2016, her final days were spent surrounded by family. She is survived by her step-son, Thomas Baldonado and spouse, Ed; step-daughters, Patricia Baldonado, and Kathleen Reed and her spouse, Adam; brother, Mariano Mares Jr. and spouse, Angie; sister, Elizabeth Gallegos and spouse, Lee; sister, Vivian Sena; granddaughter, Angela Goolsby-Lucero and her spouse, Jimmy; great grandson, Asher Lucero; niece, Corinne Ulibarri; and many other loving family members. Mary Viola was preceded in death by her parents, Mariano Sr. and Florence Mares; spouse, Ramon Baldonado; brother, Ezekel Mares; sister, Florepa Mares; and grandson, Randall Goolsby. She was born in Fort Sumner, NM on November 5, 1937. Mrs. Baldonado worked as a bookbinder at UNM printing plant until retirement. Mary Viola loved to camp, fish and shop. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt, all who knew her will miss her. A special thank you dedicated to the amazing staff at Sandia Senior Suites and Hospice of the Sandia’s for all the love, care and support for Mary Viola in her final days. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, August 26, 2016, 7:00 p.m.
