VAN DALEN, Mary, Of Kalamazoo. Passed away on September 4, 2010. Mary was born May 30, 1914 in Kalamazoo, a daughter of Marinus and Nellie Lemmers Schrier and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of Covenant United Reformed Church.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Neil VanDalen on February 25, 2002, by both sons, Henry VanDalen and Dr. Donald VanDalen and by several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are 2 daughters-in-law, Barbara VanDalen of Kalamazoo and Maureen VanDalen of Crescent City, FL; 8 grandchildren, Bill & Debra Bytwork, Chuck & Laura Kos, Rod and Sandra Luchies, Dennis and Amy VanDalen, Jody and Kimbra Holling, Aaron VanDalen, Donya VanDalen and Timothy Shea; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law Ruth VanDalen of Kalamazoo; several nieces and nephews.
