WINSTED – STROBEL – Mary Strobel, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at her home. She is the loving wife of the late Gustav Hugo Strobel. Born May 27, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY; the daughter of the late Pasquale and Marianna (Accardi) Mangiaracina. During her long and active life, Mary was an adventurous traveler, an avid volunteer and teacher, and she always had a kind word for everyone. She was generous with her time, her energy, and her love. Mary is survived by two sons, Carl Strobel and wife Joan Krampitz of Winchester Center and Eric Strobel and wife Jennifer Knaus of Collinsville; a brother, Antonio Mangiaracina of NY; a sister Antoinette Schoepfer of FL; and grandsons, Christopher, John, Tyler and Ryan Strobel and Joel Krampitz and wife Natalie. She was predeceased by her brother, Charles Mangiaracina and her sister, Mamie Murphy.
