Mary Magdaline Santos, 47, of Oxnard, passed away September 25, 2010 at home surround by loved ones after a long courageous battle with cancer. Mary continued to have a positive attitude and strong spirit who rarely complained of her illness and was supporter and encourager to other cancer patients through their illness.
Mary was born November 12, 1962, to Tony and Nellie Santos. Mary was a native of Ventura County and graduated from Rio Mesa High School in 1982.
Mary was preceded in death by her aunts Trinie Leal and Lala Perez.
Mary loved various crafts and recently was embroidering dish towels to present to medical staff who assisted in her care. She loved to be in the kitchen baking cakes and cupcakes. She was avid collector of figurines, collectables of cartoon characters. She loved Disney movies, especially Iron Man and has a vivid collection of movies.
She is Survived by her parents Tony and Nellie Santos; brothers, Robert Santos and Michael Santos all of Oxnard; including many aunts, uncles and cousins, who will miss her greatly.
She was very close to her family, especially her mother who was also her best friend.
