Mary E Samp, 94, of Jacksonville, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021. She was born July 1, 1926, in Darksville, MO to the union of Lloyd and Lena (Mason) Haynes.
She married Leslie L Samp, on August 10, 1944, in Moberly and they co-farmed for many years prior to his passing on December 13, 1999. Also preceding her in death were her parents, a brother Harold Haynes, and a sister Mildred Brown
To know Mary was to love her. She was full of laughter and fun.
She is survived by her children; Jerry Samp and his wife Mary Kay of Lawrence, KS, Dave Samp and his wife Judy of Moberly, and Ed Samp and his wife Cheryl of Lawrence, KS, eight grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Alzheimer Research would be appreciated.
