WALLINGFORD – Mary (Williams) Pella, 82, of Wallingford entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the MidState Medical Center in Meriden. She was the beloved wife of the late Woodrow Pella.
Mary was born in New Haven on July 24, 1929, a daughter of the late Fred P. and Cornelia (Andrews) Williams.
Prior to her retirement, she had been employed by SNET. She was a veteran of the U.S. armed forces. She was one of the first women from New Haven enlist in the Air Force where she served as a meteorologist.
She will be sadly missed by her sons: Carl Pella and his wife Claudia of Wallingford, Paul Pella of North Carolina; her daughter, Beth Pella of New London; a brother, Frank Williams of Vermont; her grandchildren Joe Pella and Michael Hatt. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Williams and her sister Martha Burrows.
