Mary M. Padilla, 76, Deming resident passed away Thursday November 9, 2017 at her home surrounding by family.
Mary was born June 12, 1941 to Soledad Tlascala and Ponciano Garcia in Aguila, Arizona. She moved to Deming in 1989 coming from Yuma, Arizona and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW and National Home Life. Mary worked as a cook for the Help Head Start and loved working with children. She owned and operated Video Club in Deming for some time.
She is survived by her husband, Luis Padilla of the home; sons, Mario Padilla and his wife, Stephanie Lynn of Glenwood, Cruz Padilla and his wife Diane of Deming, Michael L. Padilla and his wife Connie of Deming, Luis Padilla Jr. and his wife Frances of Las Cruces, Andres Padilla and his wife Tammy of Deming, Ricardo Padilla of Largo, FL; sisters, Carmen Durham, Stella Ruiz and Esther Orquiz; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
