Mary Martha Shirn Burkholder Hein, 88, formerly of 23 Rosemary Lane, died Friday, Nov. 19, 2010 at Valley View Nursing Center.
Mary was predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth A. Burkholder, Sr. in 1999, her second husband Charles A. Hein in 2009, a daughter, Judith A. Burkholder Foust and a brother, Robert M. Shirn.
Mary worked for Irvin Shoes for ten years and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Diamond Girls. She enjoyed gardening, embroidering, sewing, reading and traveling and was a great mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She cared about everyone.
Born May 8, 1922 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Moses M. and Rose A. Stoviak Shirn.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth A. (Pam) Burkholder; a brother David M. (Maxine) Shirn; grandchildren, David (Renee) Burkholder and Serena (Tracey) Chapman all of Williamsport; great granddaughters, Melaina, Caitlinn and Leah Chapman; nephews, David W. (Sheryl) Shirn of Williamsport; Barry R. Shirn of Seymour, TN; and nieces Sue A. Shirn of Williamsport and Kim (Mark) Shirn Barocco of Lancaster.
