Mary “Marie” Denbo Smith, 90, Anderson, died November 19, 2008 at Community Hospital, Anderson after an extended illness. She was born May 11, 1918 in English, and resided in Anderson, Indiana.
She was a resident of Anderson since 1942 and was retired from Guide Lamp Division of General Motors. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. In her younger years, she liked to paint and write stories of family history.
She is survived by her daughter: Marlys husband, Michael H. Baker of Anderson. Two grandchildren: Jason M. Baker of Fort Wayne and Heather Nelson of Gas City. Four great-grandchildren: Matthew, Kristen, Sarah and Allison Nelson all of Gas City. Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents: Robert and Estella Jones Denbo. Spouse: Louis E. Smith who died on February 6, 2003. Brothers: Seth Denbo and Bob Denbo. Sister: Fern Munch.
