Mary Marie Maxson left this world on Friday, November 9, 2018. She was born on January 7, 1925 in Fairbury to Bernard and Ella June (Cradduck) Baldwin. While working at the laundry in Fairbury, she met Robert Maxson, Sr and they were married on June 27, 1946. They lived in Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Missouri briefly before moving back to Fairbury where they lived until moving to Beatrice in 1955. Mary was a founding member of the Homestead Gem and Mineral Club and was the club’s historian for several years.
She is survived by her son, Robert, Jr. and wife Lou; grandson, Thomas and wife Kathy; 2 great-grandchildren, all of Kearney; and her sister-in-law, Ruth Maxson of Beatrice. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a brother; and four sisters.
