Mary T. Witcher, 98, went peacefully to be with the Lord Monday, July 27, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She blessed this earth with her arrival July 20, 1917 in Newnan, GA. She was preceded in death by a loving mother, father, four brothers, three sisters and a devoted husband Garland Sims Witcher.
She is survived by her sons, Garland Sims Witcher, Jr. and James Ernest and wife Kathy Witcher; grandchildren, Garland and wife Pam Witcher, Brian and Wife Sheri Witcher, Ashley and husband Danny Wendel, Nickolas Witcher and Cristy Witcher; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Brittany, Devon, Grace, Caroline and Colt.
She was an active member of both Unity Baptist Church and Macedonia Baptist Church. She enjoyed working with the Sunday school groups and volunteered for many community activities. She had a great love for children as well as her entire community. She was also a Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, Sweet Mary was loved by many and will be missed by all.
