Mary M. Whitehead Stoker, 102, Anderson, passed away peacefully at home on August 2, 2008.
She was born May 27, 1906, in Madison County, Indiana, and resided in Anderson. Mary was a retired school teacher from Jackson Township Schools. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1924. She was a member of the Madison County Home Ec. Club, United Methodist Church Circle, Bridge Club, and First United Methodist Church. Mary was a wonderful teacher and loved children.
She is survived by her daughters: Sandra husband, Herbert Closser of Anderson, Beverly husband, Tom Lee of Anderson, Sue Lane of Logansport, and Rita husband, Max Aiman of Pendleton. Eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded by her spouse of 61 years who died in 1997, Haldon Stoker. Parents; Nora and John Whitehead. Great-granddaughter; Samantha Kunce.
