Mary M. Loveless, 94, of Littleton Colorado, passed away at Swedish Hospital Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, shortly before a planned transfer to her home and hospice care. Born Mary Marguerite Campion, January 19, 1927, to James Thomas Campion and Mary (Marks) Campion of Kansas City, Kansas. She was the first of two children, but lost her brother James Edward Campion a few days after his birth.
She was a beloved wife, loving mom, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was blessed to be married for nearly 75 years before her beloved Clarence preceded her in death 18 months ago. Now they have taken up their new roles of praising and worshiping the Lord.
Mary married Clarence Loveless, her high school sweetheart and soul mate June 9, 1945, in Bayard NE, shortly after she graduated from high school and after he had joined the Navy during WWII. They had five children together, three daughters and two sons.
Mary was an avid homemaker as well as the bookkeeper for Clarences meat packing business in Alliance, NE. Throw five children into the mix and it adds up to a very busy lady. Mary and Clarence moved to Colorado in the early 70’s. Mary was extremely talented with the art of crocheting and cross stitching. She made many wedding and baby afghans as well as numerous other crafted gifts. She was also the Christmas cookie and candy angel with all her homemade goodies. Unfortunately, her failing eye sight had made it difficult for her to continue in her many talents.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents James and Mary Campion, her younger brother James Edward Campion, and her beloved husband Clarence Loveless.
She is survived by her five children; Steven (Melody) Loveless, Sherry (Pat) Wiltsey, Sue (Bob) Prentice, Sandie (Rick) Jandrt, and Stanley Loveless; 19 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; numerous great- grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.
She will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
