Mary M. Butler, 87, of rural Jacksonville, IL died Tuesday morning, August 10, 2010, at her residence.

She was born June 7, 1923, in Greene County, IL, south of Eldred; the daughter of Robert and Anna Schild Butler.

She is survived by a sister, Florence Clement of rural Jacksonville; a nephew, Bill Clement (wife, Cheri) of South Jacksonville; a niece, Mary Clement (husband, Mark Lumos) of Cartersville, GA; several cousins; and numerous friends and acquaintances. She was preceded in death by her parents.

During WW II, Mary was employed at the Nash Airplane Factory in Kenosha, WI, and later at NESCO in Jacksonville. She worked many years at J. Capps & Sons and later at Hertzberg-New Method Book Bindery. During her retirement, she thoroughly enjoyed working outdoors with her sister on the farm.
