Mary Loveta Lacy Conklin, age 89, of Drasco, passed away on January 16, 2018 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Heber Springs. She was born and raised in Ida, Arkansas to Zeb and Oma Lacy. She was the fifth of seven children. She loved her brothers: Moran, Guy, and Harol Dene, and had a special bond with her sisters: Mildred, Juanita, and Geneva. Oh, the times the Lacy children had together. On June 14, 1947, at the age of 19, Loveta married the love of her life, Clarence. They moved to Stone County where they were blessed with a son, Harold. After a short stay in Michigan, Loveta and Clarence settled in Drasco and expanded their family with two daughters, Janice and Trayvis. Loveta worked along side Clarence farming and raising chickens, yet always had three square meals on the table.

Loveta loved her babies, all of them, her grandchildren: Eric McAnear, Jennifer Conklin Robertson and her husband, Brian, Keith Conklin and his wife, DeeAnna, and Blair Turner and her husband, Byron; her great-grandchildren: Cassidy Robertson Kubli and her husband, Jacobe, Kobe Conklin, Kyle Conklin, Caden Robertson, Tinley Turner, and Marley Kate Turner; and all of the other children she helped raise over the years.

Loveta is now reunited in Heaven with her husband, her parents, her brother, and her sisters.

She leaves behind her son, Harold (Dena) Conklin of Drasco; two daughters: Janice and Trayvis Conklin of Drasco; two brothers: Harold Dene (Maxine) Lacy and Guy (Charlotte) Lacy both of Ida; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.
