Mary Louise Walters 84, Whiteland, went to her heavenly home on Friday, October 10, 2014.
She was born in Evansville, on April 7, 1930, to the late William and Marguerite (Marshall) Walters.
Her 41-year career as a teacher, coach, and assistant athletic director covered grades 1 through college. She dedicated the last 27 years to Southport High School.
She is survived by former student and dear friend, Marilyn Ramsey; daughter, Jeanie Shackelford; grandchildren, Claire (James) Spaulding IV, Victor and Angela Shackelford; great-grandsons, James V and Samuel Spaulding; cousins, Bea Porter of MO, Jane Ann Allen of MI, Scott and Eric Eggleston of OH, and Kelly Lenaeus of CA.
