Mary Louise Norris Lemoine passed peacefully after a brief illness with family and
friends around her to enter heaven on October 29, 2013. Mary was born to Opal
Eddy Norris and Roy (Red) Virgil Norris on September 10, 1930 in Idamay, West
Virginia. She is survived by two daughters, Skeeter (Madelyn) Norris Ash and
husband Richard Ash of Mannington; Juanita Nickerson and husband Charles of
Monongah; two sons, Raymond (Junior) Norris and wife Kitty of Colonial Beach,
VA; Victor Rand of New York; nine grandchildren; Kenneth Ash of Walkersville,
MD; Mitzy Kay O’Dell and husband James of Owingsburg, PA; Jason Norris of
Colonial Beach, VA; Alex Rand of New York; Sheldon Nickerson; Maddie
Nickerson; Chloe Nickerson; Caleb Nickerson all of the Monogah area; and
Timothy Snoderly and wife Kelly of Monongah; seven great-grandchildren, Ricky
O’dell; Matthew O’Dell; Andrew O’Dell all of PA; Austin Norris; Hunter Norris
both of VA; Tanner and Katie Ash both of MD. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Frenchie LeMoine of Texas, brother, Roy Robert Norris of WV; two
grandchildren, Jeremy Lee Norris of VA and Nicky Nickerson of WV. Mary was a
member of Charity Baptist Church and was baptized on November 2, 2008. Mary
lived most of her life in Dalhart, TX and was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. She
moved back to her home state of WV in 2006. Mary was a great cook and loved
sharing her hot flavors of her Texas years. Crafts became a big part of her retired
years and making things to give to others brought her much joy. One of her
biggest highlights was playing cards with all of her friends and taking the pile
every chance she got.
