Mary Louise Franco Barretta, 91, went to be with our Lord on January 15, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Barretta. Born in Hamden daughter of the late Carlo and Marcellina Riccio Franco. She is survived by her twin daughters Adele (Richard) DePoto and Bernadette Cappella, her grandsons Carlos (Shannon) Julia and Marc Julia, her twin great granddaughters Ava and Lola, her siblings Anne Marra, Pat Franco, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Vito, Dominic I, Dominic II, and Anthony Franco, her sisters Phyllis Sternchak, Jenny Powell, and Rita Mantovani, and her son-in-law Peter Cappella. She was a devoted wife and mother. Her greatest Joys where her husband and her family. The family will always remember her delicious meals and everyone was welcome to the feast. Mary graduated from Boardman Trade School and in her younger days was a talented seamstress and dress designer. Her children and sisters often wore her creations. Her family would like to thank Norma Bohannon and the staff of Grimes Health Care Center for the care Mary received while she was there.
