Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Lewis of Urbandale; daughter, Angela Henderson McGuire of Kellogg; her four grandchildren; parents, Ervin and Ella Spencer of Ankeny; her two brothers, Chuck (and Marvis) Cole of Ankeny; and Bill (and Sondra) Cole of Texas; her four sisters, Donna (and Cal) Brown of Indianola; Carrie Ann (and John) Hays of Radcliff, Kentucky; Karla (and Randy) Risher of El Dorado, Arkansas; and Joyce (and Bill) Foster of Estancia, New Mexico; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ella Lee Anthony of Des Moines.
Mary Lou was a graduate of Colfax High School in Colfax.
Mary Lou enjoyed doing all kinds of crafts.
Mary Lou grew up in Colfax; and had lived in Mesa, Arizona for almost 20 years prior to moving to Urbandale in 2005.
