Mary Lena Degiorgio Fowler, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Sister passed away peacefully on February 2, 2016, at the age of 94, in the home she loved surrounded by those she loved and who loved her. She was born on September 27, 1921, a twin daughter of Ben and Alma Purin Degiorgio in Warren, Utah. She attended Weber County Schools graduating from Weber High School in 1939. She attended Weber State College and Ogden Business College. She met the love of her life, Charles Norman Fowler on a blind date in 1945 and they were married on September 20, 1947 in Ogden. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple.

She was employed by Weber College and then during World War II at the Ogden Supply Depot until 1948 when she and Norm moved to California where they owned and operated a Launderette. Moving back to Ogden in 1959, they built, owned and operated Fowler’s Drive In on Washington Boulevard for 17 years. After selling the Drive In, they spent two years on the island of Kauai, Hawaii where Mary served as a volunteer at Wilcox General Hospital.
