Mary Lee Davis was born in Gretna, Virginia, on June 6, 1940, to Ollie and Amanda Davis. On December 6, 2015, she was called to heaven. She passed peacefully of natural causes at her home in Boise with her loving family.

Mary Lee started early on her path to becoming a wonderful mother. She had to leave school early in life as she was needed at home to take care of her family and raise her brothers and sister. She married John Homer Davis on October 25, 1955, and they began their own family with a daughter in 1957 and a son in 1960.

In 1962 the family moved to Idaho, where their third child was born in 1966. Mary Lee worked as a waitress at several restaurants over the years. She also worked for Eddies Bakery. Then she became the manager at Walton’s Family Restaurant.

Mary Lee and Homer celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on October 25, 2015. What made her so special to her family and friends? Her southern accent, her loveable personality; and her strong will to be the BEST wife, sister, daughter, mother, granny, and friend in the world.

Mary Lee was preceded in death by her father, Ollie Davis; her mother, Amanda Davis; and her sister Angela.
