Mary C. LaCrosse, age 85, of Rapid River passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the Christian Park Health Care Center in Escanaba.
Mary was born May 25, 1931 in Rapid River, the daughter of Matt and Mary (Merle) Majestic. She was raised in Rapid River and graduated from the Rapid River High School. Mary was a lifelong member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and served on the Alter Society. She worked as a prep cook at Jack’s Restaurant for many years and was a member of the Rapid River American Legion Auxiliary Unit 301, serving as President for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, praying the rosary, bowling, playing cards, Sunday bingo and was a die-hard Detroit Lions and Tigers fan.
Mary is survived by two sons, Don LaCrosse (Brenda) of Jackson, MI and Tim (Debbie) LaCrosse of Marinette, WI, and Jane Beverly’s husband,Terry; four grandchildren, Kevin (JoléAnn) Miller, Matt (Sara) LaCrosse, Dr. Justin (Margaux) LaCrosse and Ryan LaCrosse; two great grandchildren, Hadley and Madison; two brothers, Victor (Alice) Majestic and George (Sally) Majestic, both of Rapid River and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald LaCrosse, her daughter, Jane Beverly, her parents, four brothers, Matt, Mike, Albert and Joe Majestic and her childhood sister, Helen.
