Mary L. Gallagher, 94, of Indianapolis (lived across from Garfield Park for 67 years), passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021. She was born on May 12, 1927 in Indianapolis to the late Edward J. and Clara E. (Schoenig) Kirch. Mary married the love of her life, Edward Francis Gallagher, on June 18, 1949.
She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, class of 1945 and during her career worked for the Board of Health, Ryker Dental Depot and the Indianapolis Convention Center prior to retirement. Mary and Ed were life-long members of St.
Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Edward Gallagher; children, Michael (Paula Hardesty) Gallagher, Sharon (Marc) Ancelet, Carol Gallagher, Patrick (Melanie) Gallagher and Brian (Joel) Gallagher; six granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Blanche Polovich, Ed Kirch, Jeanette Brooks and Irvin Kirch.
