Mary Louise Grady, 88, of Galesburg, passed away at 12:15 p.m. January 23, 2016 at Marigold Health Care and Rehab, Galesburg.

She was born March 16, 1927 in Galesburg, the daughter of Mark Joseph and Clara Riegel Carr. She married Edward E. Grady on October 18, 1947 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on February 22, 1999. Mary is survived by her children, Gloria (Dennis) Goss of Brookfield, WI, Dr. Kathleen (Lee) Bushman of Eagan, MN, Michael (Susan) Grady of Galesburg, Patrick (Tami) Grady of Davenport, IA, and James Grady of Galesburg. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Benjamin (Carrie) Bushman, Kelly (Rob) Mangan, Elizabeth (Brent) St. Germain, and Kerry Goss; and her great grandchildren, Scout Emery, Keetin Bushman, Dylan and Evan St. Germain, and Vincent and Cecilia Mangan. Mary is also survived by her brother-in-law, John (Katie) Grady of LeClaire, IA, and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and four sisters.

Mary attended St. Joseph’s Academy where she graduated as valedictorian in 1945. Mary and Ed owned and operated Grady’s 2100 Club in Galesburg and Grady’s Top Brass in Abingdon for many years. Mary was a longtime member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Many will remember that Mary was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan.
