Mary Kathryn Anne Thomas, 42, of Walled Lake, MI, formerly of Niles, MI, passed away unexpectedly at her home, Monday, February 6, 2006. Mary Kathryn was born on January 27, 1964, in Niles, MI. She had been employed as a teacher for one year in Ypsilanti, MI. She had also worked in software sales and training with various computer companies, most recently, Hewlett Packard. Survivors include her parents, Charles and Judy Thomas of South Bend, IN; two sons, Robert Michael Giacalone and Christopher Charles Giacalone both of Ann Arbor, MI; two brothers, Michael Charles Thomas and his wife, Stephanie of Neenah, WI and Stephen Scott Thomas and his wife, Lisa, of Omaha, NE; four nieces and nephews, Kathleen and Patrick Thomas and Lydia Margaret and John Thomas; and by an aunt and uncle, Janet and Robert McCormick of Hendersonville, NC. Preceding her in death were her maternal grandparents, Alfred and Helen Ahrens of Westchester County, NY, and her paternal grandparents, John Thomas and Helen Pethick of Niles, MI.
