Mrs. Mary K. Groomas, 76, of Marseilles, died Wednesday morning, June 13, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Mrs. Groomas was born April 17, 1931 in Clementsville, Kentucky to Lambert and Mary Etta (Wethington) Clements. She married Okley O. Groomas. He died in 1990.
She had been employed by RCA in Indianapolis, Indiana, Prairie States Oil in Seneca and later worked as a manager at the Coffee House, later the Hen House, north of Marseilles.
She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Deskin of Marseilles and Kathy (Paul) Schlingman of Leesburg, Florida; one son, Anthony Groomas of Delhart, Texas; 4 grandsons, David and Anthony Groomas, Tim and Michael Linn; 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and grandson, Jerry Linn.
