Mary Jo Dugan was born in Pioneer, Iowa July 8, 1933. She was educated in Webster County School. She graduated from Fort Dodge High School. Received her BS Degree from the University of Omaha, Nebraska and her Masters Degree from Winona State University. She taught English and Speech at Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs for 10 years. She was a Social Worker for the State of Iowa until retirement in May 2001. She married Richard Kohlhaas of Livermore on December 23, 2000. She enjoyed card games, reading, entertaining, children, adolescents, pets, oil painting, Round Robin and especially the farm cat that had 3 little kittens this past summer.
Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Faber and Erma Dugan of Humboldt and her brother, James and her sister, Delores Wagner.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Kohlhaas of Livermore and his family; a sister, Dottie Rusher of Humboldt; nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Deb Brown of Colo.
