Mary Jo Grayson, 91, of Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022, in her home surrounded by her family.
She was born December 12, 1930, in Salem, IN, to the late Hugh and Thelma Casey Meadors. She was a 1948 graduate of Connersville High School. On June 25, 1948, she married Charles Grayson Jr. and he preceded her in death on July 1, 2000.
Mary was a member of Elston Presbyterian Church in Lafayette. She enjoyed being Flossie the clown which was a big part of her life. Gardening, traveling, and decorating her home was a passion. However, the time spent with her family and friends is what she treasured most.
She is survived by her children, Daniel C. (Susan) Grayson and Janna L. (Larry) Perkins, both of Lafayette; 3 grandchildren, Casey (Marley) Perkins, Matthew (Rachael) Grayson, and Cody Perkins; a great-granddaughter, Halsey Perkins.
Along with her husband Charles, Mary was preceded in death by her brother, LaRue Meadors and her sister, Imogene Plank.
