Mary Jean Yanes, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at her home in North Port, Florida with family by her side. Mary Jean was born on December 13, 1938 in Washington, Indiana to the late Kenneth and Lodena (Myers) Summers.
Mary Jean graduated from St. Mary High School in Indianapolis and married the love of her life, Robert “Chico” Yanes on May 25, 1963. She enjoyed her job as a telephone operator at AT&T in Indianapolis for over 38 years, while her and Chico raised their 3 children (Bob, Mike and Lisa).
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Yanes; sons, Robert “Bob” Yanes (Linda) and Michael Yanes; sister Nancy Garza; and grandchildren, Andrea Radford (Justin), Bailey Cope, Carson White, Austin White and Nick Anderson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Chico” Yanes and sister, Margaret “Mickey” Gibbs.
