Mary Jane Schmincke passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Encore of Turf Valley in Ellicott City. She was 87. She was born July 14, 1931 to the late Andrew and Margaret Schatz. She graduated from Catonsville High School. After marrying her husband Carroll, they resided in England while her husband was stationed during the Korean War. She was a stay at home mom and raised her children until she was able to work. She began a career as a secretary for the Howard County Board of education and retired after many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 26 years Carroll B. Schmincke “Beau”; loving daughters Linda J. Voll (George), Susan Ann Schmidt (Bill), and Karen Militano (Tom); cherished grandchildren Nick, Tracy, Veronica, Katie, and Matt; great-grandchildren Cierra, Kylie, Carly, and Connor; and brother Andrew “Buzzy” Schatz (Angie).
