Jane Foth, age 81, of Algona, Iowa died on Thursday September 11, 2013 at the Algona Manor Care Center in Algona. Mary Jane Studer, the daughter of Leander and Irene (Kelch) Studer, was born on April 2, 1932 in St. Benedict, Iowa. She graduated from Wesley High School in 1950. Jane was united in marriage with William H. Foth on November 6, 1952 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wesley. She had worked at the Wesley Reminder, the Corner Restaurant in Wesley, Algona High School and as the Bakery Manager at Hood’s Grocery Store. Jane was a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church and was very active in the Adoration Chapel. She enjoyed making stepping stones, cooking, baking and sharing with others, writing letters, collecting treasurers, garage sales and taking care of her mother and others. Left to cherish Jane’s memory is her husband of 60 years, Bill; children, William J. Foth of Elk River, MN, Robert J. Foth of Frisco, CO and Mary Lee Savona of Minnetonka, MN; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Leander Studer; and a sister, Arlene Garman.
