Mary J. Lamb (nee Dunphy) of Burlington, died peacefully Monday, November 26th surrounded by her loving family, she was 81 years of age. Mary was born and raised on Red Island, Newfoundland, Canada; she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Anastasia Dunphy. A Burlington resident since 1952, Mary was employed as a nursing assistant for the Masonic Home of New Jersey. A member of St. Paul’s R.C. Church in Burlington, Mary enjoyed spending time at the shore, knitting, crocheting, baking and sewing, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Wife of the late Herbert H. Lamb, Sr., who died in 1995, Mary is survived by her loving flock; Michele Miller of Deptford, Patricia Jasinski of Somers Point, Lynn Rugg of Edgewater Park, Herbert H. Lamb, Jr., of Burlington, Michael Lamb of Rio Grande Teresa Aslanian of Somers Point, Mary Ann Vitelli of Northfield and Leona Johnson of North Hanover. Also surviving are three brothers; Patrick Dunphy of Mt. Pearl, St. John’s, Newfoundland, Joseph Dunphy of Gander, Newfoundland and Cam Dunphy of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Mary also leaves to cherish her memory, 21 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

Although she made her home in New Jersey she remained a proud citizen of Canada and a part of her never truly left the province of Newfoundland.
