Mary J. Hoag Barringer, 75
Troy Mary J. Hoag Barringer, 75, of Highland Avenue, died Wednesday at Samaritan Hospital Troy, after a brief illness.
Born in Bennington, VT she was daughter of the late Gordon and Bertha Agnes Barden Hoag and wife of the late Edward J. Barringer. She was raised in Walloomsac, NY and resided in Troy most of her life. She summered at Crooked Lake in Averill Park for many years and was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy in Hoosick Falls and The Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing.
Mrs. Barringer was a registered nurse for the Samaritan Hospital fifth floor for 40 years retiring 14 years ago.
She was a communicant of St. Francis de sales Church in Troy.
Survivors include three daughters, Patricia A. Simon (Ann Bower) of Berkley, CA, Susan M. Djernes (Christopher) of Westlake Village, CA and Linda J. Kramarchyk (Phillip) of Brunswick; a son, David J. Barringer (Kathleen) of Ballston Spa; a brother, James Hoag of Bennington; nine grandchildren, Ryan Djernes, Lisa Kramarchyk, Laura Kramarchyk, Sean Djernes, Reilley Barringer, Marissa and Brendan Djernes and Edward and James Barringer. She was predeceased by a brother, John Hoag and a sister, Helen Stophel.
