Mary Gwen Weaver, 90, of Westminster, died Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at Transitions Healthcare in Sykesville. Born January 19, 1927 in North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Lee Combs and Molly Burkett Combs. Her husband was the late George Howard Weaver, who died Dec. 11, 1997.
Before retiring she worked at Westinghouse in Hunt Valley, MD. She was a member of Glyndon United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being a homemaker, cooking, quilting, canning, spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survived by her 3 children Lonny Howard Weaver and wife Merelie of New Windsor, Jerry Lee Weaver and wife Phyllis Ann of Hanover Pa. Terry Lynn Manes and husband Barry of Orange, California, a brother Marion Combs of Emerald Isle, NC, a sister Myrtle Mason of Anza, California, 4 grandchildren Amy L. Navarre, Lorna Shaikh, Jeffrey and Brooks Weaver, 7 great grandchildren Ethan and Shane Navarre, Evelyn and Lillian Shaikh, Jennifer and Bryan Weaver, Brandon Manes. She was predeceased by a sister Hazel Walters.
