Mary Blanche Griffin Ward, age 82, of Toney, passed away on Monday June 13, 2011 at Crestwood Hospital.
Mary was a volunteer EMT and Safety Officer with the Moore’s Mill Volunteer Fire Department for 15 years. She was also a nurse in the U. S. Army Women’s Army Corps. For 3 years. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Ward; her parents, George and Mary Griffin; and her brother, Cleo Griffin.
Mary is survived by her sons, Paul Ward and Ronald Ward; her sister, Dorothy Jo Davenport; her brothers, A. D. Griffin, George Griffin, Billy Griffin, and Jerry Griffin; and her grandchildren, Dustin Ward, Gabriel Ward, and Elizabeth Moore.
