Mrs. Mary Frances Taweel, age 94, passed away peacefully at home with family on Saturday, June 27th.

Born in Aberdeen, North Carolina, to Lebanese immigrant parents on March 7, 1921, Fran lived most of her life in Miami, Florida, where she and her deceased husband, Raymond, settled after he retired from 28 years of active military service in the United States Air Force.

Fran moved to Newnan, Georgia, in 2004 residing with one of her daughters and then moved to Peachtree City for seven years where she attended church at First Baptist of Peachtree City.

One of five children, Fran was forced to quit elementary school during the Great Depression. As an adult, Fran attended night classes and was awarded her G.E.D.

Fran was an accomplished angler and was most proud of her 42-pound striped bass catch off the coast of Cape Cod.

Fran is survived by her daughters, Linda (Larry) Butler of Moreno Valley, California, Mona (Bob) Donahue of Newnan, Georgia, grandsons Raymond (Lynda) of San Francisco, Mark Butler of Moreno Valley, California, Matthew (Beth) and Blake Donahue (Christy) both of Newnan, Georgia, and five great grandchildren, Samantha Butler, Haylie, Addison, Eli and Kimber Donahue.
