Mary Frances “Fran” Austin, 86, passed away September 8, 2015 in Pueblo, Colorado. She was the daughter of Guy and Virginia (Adams) Tucker, and was born in New Port News, Virginia on July 7, 1929. Fran was united in marriage to Virgil “Ben” Austin on July 27, 1960. She loved to bowl, and was active in the ACS Club and the Cattlewomen’s Association. Fran also volunteered with the Custer County Rodeo, Blue Grass Festival, and Western Days. She was a member of National Geographic and the Gray Whale Census. Mrs. Austin is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ben of Westcliffe; and good friends, Richard and Jeanne Frederick. She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas H. “Sandi” Ball; and her parents.
