Mary Frances Bondarewicz was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 10, 1935. She was born to John Alowishus and Mary Josephine O’Brien. She was the youngest of four children. The doors to heaven were opened for Mary on November 29th 2021. She died peacefully in her home in beloved Littleton on this beautiful fall day with her daughter Rebecca by her side.
During Mary’s childhood in Chicago, she met her life long best friend Nancy Droste. After graduating from high school they both ventured out and reconnected in Denver Colorado, where Mary set roots and enjoyed the small city life. Here she found her way with raising five children by herself and met all challenges with lots of prayer and determination. She worked many jobs including Mountain Bell and at the glorified city of Cherry Hills. However, she found a career that made sense for her and the family at the quaint St.
Mary was the heart and soul of her family and with her tough and resilient attitude she raised them all to be strong and independent. Mary was a light to all who met her. She took great pride in her Catholic faith and as an Irish descendent, loved all things green and Irish. Her heart was also given to all animals no matter how big or small, she “loved them all.” The family was always growing in their little home, with her great ability to find all of the neighborhood strays. The family joke being “that they found her!”
Mary was always an advocate for people and animals that needed help. She would light up any room by leading with her heart and smile. She was a role model of how to love and what family meant. Mary “fought the good fight” her entire life. Her strength and never quit attitude was with her to the very end. Mary loved reading and always supported her loved ones to the best versions of themselves.

Mary is survived by her 5 children Jo Ellen, Christine, Matthew, Rebecca and John as well as 11 grand children, Nicholas, Brett, Megan, Joseph, Madeline, Amelia, Jacob, Clairissa, Logan, Dawson, and Ella.
