Mary Frances Bartlett, 88, died peacefully at The Woodlands following a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Born Mary Frances Lee in Bedford, Indiana she was the daughter of Cecil and Grace (Ritchison) Lee. Moving to Muncie in 1937 she attended MuncieCentralHigh School. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Miles. During this time she worked at Muncie Gear then Delco Battery. Later she married Harry Bartlett. She retired from Delco Battery in 1993.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, sisters Vi Anderson and Lucy Simmerly, brother Eddie Lee and niece, Sheila Jean Sharkitt.
She is survived by son James Miles, sisters Dorothy Hawkins and Betty Jean Sharkitt all of Muncie as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family extends a special thanks to all the staff at The Woodlands and Dr. Anthony Dowell for the exceptional kindness and care they gave Mary Frances during her illness.
