Mary F. Gregory Rausch, 69, of Meredosia, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at her home. She was born March 19, 1941, in Meredosia, the daughter of Earl “Bud” and Lucille Allen Gregory. She married Albert DuWayne Rausch on Sept. 10, 1960, on Meredosia and he preceded her in death on April 8, 2004.

She is survived by five daughters, Angie (Tim) Crow of Chambersburg, Patty Schmitz of Jacksonville, Mindy Rausch, and Allison (Terry Day) Rausch, both of Meredosia, and Kara (Seth) Parker of Ashland; eleven grandchildren, Alaina (Glenn) Weatherford, Franci Borrowman, Shane Test, Patrick Test, Nathan Rausch, Anthony Rausch, Samantha (Brandon) Smith, Heather Browning, Jordan Browning, Kashton Parker, and Kade Parker; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Jack (Sue) Gregory of Panama, IL, and Jerry “Tadpole” (Carol) Gregory of Meredosia.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Marcella (Marty) Floyd (surviving husband Louis of Chapin); and longtime companion Dave Arnold.

Mary was a 1959 graduate of Meredosia-Chambersburg High School. She owned Mary’s Market in Meredosia for 10 years and had also worked for many Meredosia area restaurants and bars, including Bud & Lucy’s, which was owned by her parents. She enjoyed sports, especially when her family was involved. She was a Fighting Illini and Sprint Car Racing fan. She also enjoyed bowling. Mary truly loved her family.
